With the sands of time,
I walk along the shore.
Hope fades with the sinking sun,
The emptiness seems to seep in more.
Give me a reason,
For the waves to go back again.
Life seems to touch u with each wave,
And then recede leaving me in vain.
The sand sticks to the feet,
Just to give a tingling touch.
The salty water drains it away,
Like the people who dont care much.
Weeds get entangled,
To make me feel they'll never let go.
Their love is as weak as it can get,
Every one around puts up an artificial show.
The wind caresses me and is subtle,
Not for a moment leaving my side.
As if carrying a message from far across,
The rules of life by which I should abide.
Each shell has a different story,
Washed ashore and laid to rest.
Waiting for a loving hand,
And to carry it abreast.
As the twilight fades,
My hopes begin to diminish.
The breeze takes a different direction,
Indicating that there isnt much remaining to finish...
